Melbourne Greyhounds Division 1 will see eight clubs make their first appearance in the 2024 campaign, with Nash Holmes (Montmorency), Sean McLaren (Hurstbridge), Daniel Owen (Banyule) and Tom Wallis (North Heidelberg) some of the players to make their debuts for their new clubs.

Meanwhile Kobe Brown (West Preston-Lakeside), Jack Mapleson (North Heidelberg), Tim Martin (Banyule) and Cooper Perrin (Hurstbridge) are playing their first games back at their former clubs.

In MC Labour Division 2, St Mary’s will introduce a handy trio for the first time in 2024, as Jack Bianchin, Rory Hanlon and Huon MacGibbon have all been named to face Whittlesea. The Eagles will miss Blake Watson but welcome back Christian Prestopino.

South Morang will be without star duo Joshua D’Intinosante and Deacon Kalpakis for their clash with Watsonia while Damon Marcon and Alastair Punshon will miss Northcote Park’s battle with Panton Hill. The Redbacks bring in internet sensation Thomas Baulch (Prime Train).

Both Thomastown and Diamond Creek will include some important names ahead of their match. Lawrence Lopiccolo returns for the Bears while Matthew Lewis will slot into the Creekers backline.

In Heidelberg Golf Club Division 3, Epping has included Jaedyn Kearney to face his former club Old Eltham Collegians, with the Turtles welcoming back Jack Fitzgerald to replace the injured Daniel Hallett.

Ash Close and Scott Selwood headline the additions to Ivanhoe’s squad for their massive Saturday night fixture with Old Paradians. The Raiders go into the clash unchanged from their big opening round victory.

Grand Final trio Matthew Bawden, Shannon Bennett and Matthew Golledge return for Mernda when they host Heidelberg West.

Selected teams for the NFNL Women’s competition will be named in the lead-up to Sunday’s matches.
