2025 NFNL Senior Men’s Football Fixtures

The 2025 fixtures for the NFNL’s senior men’s football competitions have been released.

All senior men’s competitions will commence their seasons on Saturday, April 5th. Melbourne Greyhounds Division 1 and MC Labour Division 2 will play out 18 home and away games, with every side to play each opponent twice.

In Heidelberg Golf Club Division 3, there will be also 18 home and away games in season 2025, but clubs will play 16 matches and have two byes each. All teams will play each opponent at least once.

Melbourne Greyhounds Division 1 will feature 10 sides, with South Morang to return to top flight football for the first time since 1980 after winning this year’s MC Labour Division 2 premiership.

A top five finals campaign will again occur at the conclusion of the regular season, with finals to commence on Saturday, August 30th and the Grand Final to be played on Saturday, September 20th.

The 10 sides to compete in MC Labour Division 2 will include debutants Old Paradians following their Heidelberg Golf Club Division 3 premiership success in 2024, and Macleod, who will play in Division 2 for the first time since 2009.

The top five sides in MC Labour Division 2 will compete in the finals series, which will begin on Saturday, August 23rd and conclude with the Grand Final on Saturday, September 13th.

There will be 11 teams in Heidelberg Golf Club Division 3, with 2023 premiers Laurimar to replace this year’s flag winners in Old Paradians.

Finals will begin for the top five sides on Saturday, August 16th, with the Grand Final set to take place on Saturday, September 6th.

Key features of the 2025 NFNL senior men’s football fixtures include:

• Heidelberg, South Morang and Old Paradians all to unveil respective 2024 premiership flags in the opening round.

• Eltham and Greensborough to feature in a standalone Good Friday clash at Eltham Central Park. Both teams will have a bye in Round 4.

• The first meeting between Montmorency and Heidelberg since the 2024 top flight Grand Final set to take place in Round 5 at Montmorency Park.

• Laurimar and Mernda to face off in Round 3 for the first time since their thrilling 2023 Heidelberg Golf Club Division 3 decider.

• Lower Plenty will host Thomastown for the 2025 Pat Cronin Foundation Round feature game at Montmorency Park.

• Fitzroy Stars and Laurimar to compete for the NAIDOC Cup in their July 5 match at Sir Douglas Nicholls Oval.

• Six games to feature on King’s Birthday weekend, including a standalone Heidelberg and Montmorency battle at Warringal Park, as well as all five matches of Round 9 in Heidelberg Golf Club Division 3

Please note: As team nominations continue to come in for our senior women’s, under-19.5’s and junior football competitions, fixtures in those competitions will be released in 2025.
